As a mom, you are always on the go. In a day filled with never ending tasks, I am always on the hunt for things that will make taking care of Luke easier. I have compiled these into a handy dandy list.
Munchkin Nursery Projector and Sound System –
What I Love: This sound machine and projector is pretty amazing. It offers a night light and 6 different noises to help get baby to fall asleep and stay asleep. You can choose from heartbeat, ocean, lullabies, rain, white noise and Mozart. You can also choose to project sea creatures, a night scene or jungle animals on the wall. One of the best features is that it has a timer that can be set to play for 15, 30 or 60 minutes. You can also set it to continuous play. The coolest feature is voice activation, which will turn on the selected soothing method when it detects noise in the room to help baby soothe back to sleep!
What I don’t Love: There are really only three things that I don’t love about this projector/sound machine. 1) The sound distorts when the volume is turned up. The louder the sound is, the more jumbled the sound is. 2) The white noise doesn’t sound like white noise but more like an airplane flying high in the sky. 3) The projector is quite noisy! I would have thought that you wouldn’t be able to hear the disc rotating in the projector, but you can.
When we had Luke, I was set against having a Bumbo. I thought it was weird and couldn’t possibly help him do anything. Boy was I wrong! Luke absolutely loves the Bumbo, and it has sure made my life easier. Once Luke was able to control his head and hold it up on his own, we tried out the Bumbo. It has given him some independence and has allowed him to interact with the environment from a new perspective. It is providing some support for him to learn to sit on his own. It has also freed me up from having to carry him around everywhere because I can sit him in the Bumbo in front of his toys and he is entertained long enough for me to do dishes or laundry. I do want to get the tray attachment, as I think it will come in handy in the future.
Munchkin Formula Mixer (with Bonus on the go formula dispenser) –
I got this on a whim while walking through Babies R Us. It was on sale so I thought I would give it a try.
What I love: This mixer really does do a great job at mixing up formula without it getting all clumped up. I really dislike having to shake bottles to get the formula all mixed it…..because no matter how long or hard I shake, I never seem to break up all the clumps. With this mixer I just push the button on the top for about 15 seconds and the formula is clump free and ready to go. I went from taking 2-3 minutes to make a bottle to less than 30 seconds from start to finish. What mom doesn’t love to save time? It’s really easy to clean and light weight too.
What I don’t love: There are only 2 things that I don’t like about this formula mixer. 1) The button on the top can be hard to depress at times. It isn’t too terribly difficult, but you do have to press pretty hard to get the mixer to turn on. 2) The mixing blade isn’t very long, which makes mixing small amounts of formula in tall bottles harder. It does really well at mixing 2 ounces in a 4 ounce Dr. Brown’s bottle…..but has a hard time reaching 4 ounces in an 8 ounce Dr. Brown bottle.
Boba Wrap –
What I love: being able to hold my sin but still have two hands free to go about my day. I love that it lets me feed him without having to take him out
What I don’t lo even: for my 5 foot tall body, it is a lot of fabric. When putting the wrap on it usually falls to the ground and gets covered in whatever is on the ground….hair, dirt, water……
